Powerful order management and invoicing is coming to Virtuemart with our new (invoice) extension ccVAOM (Virtuemart Adanced Order Management). We noticed you are really getting excited about ccVAOM, because we keep getting messages like "Get this done asap!!! :)", "Would make my life easier" and "Make our customers happier".
Well, prepare yourself, ccVAOM is getting close to the finish line! We are finishing and testing the latest functionality, so I included a few screenshots for a mini preview below.
ccVAOM improves order management in Virtuemart, reducing the time you spend on orders. One of the improvements to advanced orders is the ability to download a batch of orders in one go. It also adds billing/invoicing to Virtuemart, so you can create a corresponding invoice with each order, without hacking any Virtuemart code. In the next version there will also be support for Virtuemart to print address labels.
These screenshots should give you a tiny idea of what ccVAOM is going to look like. First of all, we don't want anyone on your team, or any of your clients thinking "What is ccVAOM? Where are my orders?". So in the components menu in Joomla!, you will find ccVAOM under "Orders & Invoices". More extensions should have descriptive names like that, don't you agree? Oh, and on the right side you see our little time saver ccVMDashboard, free download here.
In the second screenshot , you see the ccVAOM orders and invoices overview. It has all the functionality you know from the Virtuemart orders overview, and more. In the toolbar we added the batch buttons (batch create invoices and batch download invoices/orders). And extended search with date ranges, filters on client name/invoice/order, create and view invoices... These improvements alone will save you time! But the best is yet to come...
Added at the last moment, a completely new concept to ordering in Virtuemart, the Batchbar! The Batchbar is being coded as we speak and we hope to have it ready for the first release of ccVAOM. The below mockup (created with Mockups from Balsamiq) should give you an idea of the order and invoice management heaven you will be entering shortly. And remember, this is just the beginning!
