Virtuemart 2.0 is stable and ready to be used on production websites. A nice detail for the Dutch; we have already implemented support for the Dutch payment method iDEAL in Virtuemart 2.0. Virtuemart 2.0 review and screenshots
A close to stable version of Virtuemart 2.0 was released recently, and I was surprised to be a little impressed! Virtuemart has a history of slow development but it looks like that is changing. We will have to wait for the stable version to make any definitive conclusions, but at least the future looks good.
Read on to view a few screenshots of Virtuemart 2.0 and my comments. I didn't have the time to dive into the code or new features, so this review will focus primarily on interface, usability and... eye candy! Preview of new interface for ccVAOM 2.0
The following is a sneak preview of the new interface for ccVAOM, our solution to "Virtuemart Advanced Order Management" (and PDF invoicing). The interface is simplified, less cluttered and more user friendly while retaining the extremely powerful order management options. For example the batch bar, for processing multiple orders/invoices with just a few clicks, has had an overhaul.
We have finished all other features (secret for now) for ccVAOM 2.0, and the following weeks will finish implementation of this new interface. After that, customers can expect the new version in their mail inbox!
