If you have an older version of ccIDEAL installed, you will have to follow the steps as listed below one time before you can install the new version.
PLEASE NOTE: by doing so you will lose your certificates and stored data. You wouldn’t normally need to undertake these steps and you were able to upgrade without losing all your stored data, but due to license modifications these steps are necessary for versions older than august 2008. My apologies for the inconvenience.
Step 1: De-install cciDEAL. Should the de-install process through Joomla! Administrator > Extensions > Install/Uninstall fail to work, then remove not only the files mentioned below, but also:
- administrator/components/com_ccideal
- components/com_ccideal
Step 2:
- remove the file administrator/components/security
Step 3:
- remove the following language files:
- administrator/language/nl-NL/nl-NL.com_ccideal.ini
- administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_ccideal.ini
- language/nl-NL/nl-NL.com_ccideal.ini
- language/nl-NL/nl-NL.com_virtuemart.ini
- language/en-GB/en-GB.com_virtuemart.ini
- language/en-GB/en-GB.com_ccideal.ini
Step 4
- install the new version of cciDEAL
